a stroll

Olivia loving her LAGUNA, I made a double layer using seventies and emily cord, soft as butter it is, I say! The top is the QUIARA pattern with both long and short sleeves using campan and interlock. She flits and twists and swings her leg up on the hand rail. What more can a mother ask for?

Grace is walking the walls for her new dress, made with the soft sweat knit Laureen. I am so in love with this fabric. The blue is perfect with the campan. The pattern is Olivia

Maiah must have her picture taken too, even with a dirty face. :-) Jackson he doesn't care, he's way ahead with dad and the dogs! We really are quite the production, how often do you see 6 people of varying sizes, with all kinds of gear (camera, poop bag, leaves, and rocks to name a few) walking 3 dogs down your street?mdirtyface.jpg

tree climbing?

I thought tree's grew, for the most part vertically. This particular tree, however, is so large that this huge, and low to the ground, branch is just right for sitting and crawling across that's right we didn't tree climb, we had a great tree crawling adventure. I must say that I am having a bit of quilt here in the 70 degree days, having just ditched the best snow on earth.

as in life

Look what came home from costco! Terry set out with half the family to do some much needed pantry stocking. That in itself has quite a treat, but then to return home with a special, selected by Olivia (the queen of pink), surprise. What more can a girl ask for?

Days have passed and we've all enjoyed having fresh flowers in the house, they manage to brighten up even the brown of cardboard moving boxes. But I find myself feeling a little like the, past their prime, blooms. Lucky for me, I'm not headed out for the garbage man to tote off.

An Artist among us?

humu.jpg

Humu was our read this morning, after which we set about making our own fishy drawing. She is such a perfectionist.. When she had a hard time making the body, across the room goes the crayon and the paper is a ball on the floor. Notice the crumpled side and hand clutching the bottom of the paper.

Take two.

Mom helps with the basic body shape and M gives it a face and arms, oh wait, fish don't have arms. MELTDOW....

"No, no Maiah see these flippers are fish arms." Phew! She takes the crayon and changes them from stick arms to flippers and starts to color them in.

I think she did a lovely job!

Just a little plug for "Humu" It's an all around fantastic book about a fish who learns that it's best to like yourself just the way you are. I'm not sure they come any better than that.
