hmmm, you might have gotten the idea things, some things, have not gone well. You'd be right.
But first the pattern 81. When I left off only the skirt needed attached to the top and I'm sure you can figure out how that works without me. And I would really love to show a picture of the finished fun dress but I'm a moron and made the skirt out of stretchy, heavy, ever-growing velour. After stitching all 20 skirt pieces together and holding it up to the top I needed to take off about 4 pieces, so I threw it in the dryer hoping that would shrink it up a little…. nope. After taking off 4 pieces, now it should fit, right? I fit the pieces together and 2 more pieces need to come off, it goes to the dryer again, nothing. I get the darn thing serged together in the nick of time and figure I can topstich that part after school. After school there is the beginnings of a hole and by the time G would take it off that evening there was big hole. I think that much velour was never meant to hang off of a little scrap of denim. I'll try again, I promise I will and I'm sure, since I'll follow the fabric recommendations, I'll have better luck!
OMG, I just realized this was YOU featured in the magazine I bought last spring! I bought it specifically because of YOUR article. Oh wow, too funny!
